Magnetic activated carbon optimization using response surface approach for Cr(VI)

نویسندگان

چکیده

Abstract Magnetic activated carbon (Fe 3 O 4 -AC) is made using Fe and as primary materials to adsorb Cr(VI) in simulated wastewater. The Response Surface Method (RSM) optimizes the experimental parameters (pH, temperature, initial solution concentration, dosage). impacts of various elements are explored determine ideal reaction conditions for maximum elimination. According data, interaction between pH other three exceptionally significant (P<0.0001) response. Furthermore, a removal rate 83.88 percent may be attained at pH=2, temperature 62°C, starting concentration 179mg/L, activate dosage 0.14g/50mL.

The efficiency of modified powdered activated carbon for removal of ammonia nitrogen from aqueous solution: a process optimization using RSM (Response Surface Methodology), adsorption isotherm and kinetic study

The objective of this study was to determine the performance of modified commercial powdered activated carbon (MCPAC) in removal of ammonia from aqueous solution. The effects of adsorbent dosage (0.5–1.5 g/L), ammonia concentration (100–200 mg/L), pH (3 to 9) and contact time (2 to 120 min) were examined. In this study, experiments were performed based on Response Surface Methodology (RSM). The...
